| I lost my ipod and school is done in 2 days. Well, techincally one, but who's counting ;) Then summer school and I become best friends and this loveliness called school begins once again. At least i am done one course for good. Yay, 1st fourth year course DONE. Right now, the essay is on Cambridge Bay, and I am not pleased with it. But such is the boredom known as credits. and grades. why do i need to prove that i know what i know? Can't they just trust me? | | |
| So i could have sworn that i had written something previously...but i guess that my memory is failing me. But, such is life. It is christmas day - lisa's birthday. And it is the time that we christians celebrate jesus' birth even though he wasn't really born in december...christians just did that to appease the pagans in the region. But hey...i'm just a history major - what do i know. I have watched countless movies in the pool of no life known as merritt with nothing to do. How did i live here for 18 years? I had friends and we hung out every night - watching movies. or youth group. which is what i do in the loops now i suppose. In any case, The Prince and Me 2 was not so bad...acting could have been a little better, but still entertaining nonetheless. So tomorrow it is off to see the love of my life (i call him dan...some other people do too) and i can hardly wait. mmmmm...i love him. | | |
| I have decided that I like Clamato juice. I didn't before and now I do. And essays are the devil. My brain doesn't want to output anymore. Input is okay still, output a slight problem. Probably because i've been looking at Life magazine from 1961-1969 and there are a lot of issues (think, 54 for the year). Interesting stuff though. Alas the class of human geography is beckoning and i don't want to listen. Oh, and if you've never watched clone high, it's a hoot. Ghandi, Joan of Arc, Abe lincoln, JFK and Cleopatra all going to high school at the same time. A hoot i tell you. Oh and I went to another wedding today. Very interesting...interesting as in akward, akward as in i hope whoever marries me isn't as nervous. Go Rob go...i choose you! (my pastor silly) | | |
| I am so ready to retire. To bed, from school, from work. Caput. Lots of work to be done with school (journal reviews, papers, presentations, finals, quizzes....do you sympathyze yet?)...with rotaract (webpage, meetings, socials to plan), with church (awana, youth, college and careers...and our girls night) So a lot is on my plate. A bunch of stuff. But somehow, God loves me, and I'm doing alright. I do not like midterms. Because then you realize 'crud, i need to get my act together'...b/c i haven't figured it out the past two years. My goodness. I don't know...teachers seem to think that the only class you are taking is theirs sometimes. Readings suck. Which is what i should be doing now, but i am not, because i am writing. Genius, i know. And to top it all off i am sick. My chest would like to explode (or implode) at times. Tonight is Trick or Eat...so i am going around to houses with my rotaract club and collecting canned food items for the food bank...and getting candy at the same time. We all win in the end. I am copping out and going an a fairy...beacause i can stay warm if i wear the costume...yay for big poofy dresses. And through it all, Dan and I are still keeping strong. I love him, he loves me, it's a lovely world. His costume....i think will have to be modified for the weather....but he doesn't seem to think so. The woman will be right...he can't fight it. | | |
| So Wierd Al is super funny. My brother bought the CD...really funny. Laugh...a lot. I recommend Canadian Idiot and Confessions Part III...and of course, White and Nerdy. Yes, this is stuff i listen to. So today was good. Got to meet and make some new friends. Made fun of this guy from England in my History 300 class. Mohommed is his nickname....Elliot actually. And then this other guy had a nickname of Chico. (i forget his real name), and they gave me the name sassy mcdonalds chick. The other two in our group didn't want nicknames. That's what happens when you spend three hours in groups discussing historical methods...or rather, creating your own. And Chico is in three of my classes - who knew, not me. So me and Dan are going on a date today and tomorrow. Woot woot. Today we're going dancing. But i don't know where, and then tomorrow we are going to watch THE GUARDIAN. I am excited. Next week I am off to Victoria to do some research and then see the Lt. Govn'r General. Triple Woot. And me and my dad might go to Science World to see the body exhibit. Could be fun...i want to go. I might be a little creeped out, but that's okay. Anyway, i should be getting back to my homework...three things that will create economic development or job creation. Bleh. Ciao. | | |
